Principal's Message
Greetings Arlington Heights School Community:
I am so excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Arlington Heights Elementary School. I am honored to join a school known for its dedication to academic excellence, enrichment, and most importantly the social-emotional well-being of our children. Over the past 22 years, I have worked to empower school communities to guide instructional decisions that improve teaching and learning and foster successful student learning outcomes.
My practice has included the cultivation of partnerships among families, community members, and educators that support student achievement and school improvement in each community that I have been privileged to serve. I am an educator of a myriad of TK-12 subjects in the public and charter school settings. I have also served school communities as a Principal, Dean of Students, Dance Education Coordinator, ELA Advisor, and as a TK-12 Instructional Coordinator serving our very own Venice Community of Schools. I have led many professional developments across our district for administrators and educators, and written UC-approved course curriculums, and summer school curricula.
I am a proud product of LAUSD Schools and hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Loyola Marymount University in English and Dance, a Masters Degree in Education from Pepperdine University (Credentials in Administrative Services, English, Dance, and Physical Education), and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Pacific Coast University School of Law.
In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest accomplishment is my son, Jaxon. I always strive to advocate and provide exceptional educational experiences for my son and will work tirelessly to ensure your children have the best possible experience at Arlington Heights Elementary School.
My vision for Arlington Heights Elementary School is to focus on improving student outcomes through quality instruction, professional development, research evidence-based practices, coaching, mentoring through teamwork and collaboration. My goal is to continue to build on quality inclusive learning environments that are responsive to culture, student voice, enrichment, and engagement. In addition, create opportunities for the community and families to participate in learning and collaborative partnerships.
I have a passion for instruction, developing engaging curricula, enrichment, and most importantly being a servant leader. I am thankful and ready to bring my experience to your wonderful school community. I look forward to getting to know every one of our dynamic staff members, dedicated families, community partners, and involved community members. I will be working to ensure a smooth transition and opening for the 2024-2025 school year.
I embrace the challenges and joys of education as your School Principal. I look forward to meeting all of you. Thank you in advance for your partnership, support, and dedication.
Serving you,
Principal Morris
